Smallbore rifle shooting is a demanding precision sport requiring high  levels of skill and mental discipline. It has been called the world's No.1 mental sport and appeals to a
diverse range of people. There are few physical barriers to participation, and the sport can be enjoyed on an equal basis by men or women of any age. Indeed it is also available to the
disabled, as paraplegics and quadriplegics can compete. "Smallbore" refers to either
.22 caliber target   rifles or .177 caliber air rifles fired at targets set up at different distances.
